We’re getting Starmap360 ready for its next version — one built around two new ways to make a personalized star map, alongside the one you already know. Here’s what each one is, and what’s not changing.
A new version of Starmap360 is coming
Starmap360 started as a single idea: turn a place, a date, and a time into a star map worth printing. That’s still exactly what it does. What’s changing is how many ways there are to get there — a dashboard for making maps again and again, and an API for wiring star maps straight into someone else’s product. We’re preparing both for launch now.
Starmap Studio: your dashboard for making maps, again and again
Starmap Studio is an account — free to create — for anyone who wants more than one map. Instead of starting from scratch each time, Studio keeps your presets, your render history, and an API key of your own, so a second map, or a fiftieth, is a few clicks, not a fresh setup.
Studio is for:
- Shop owners who list personalized star maps and generate a new one per order.
- Anyone gifting star maps regularly — weddings, anniversaries, births — who’d rather reuse a saved style than rebuild it.
- Developers who want an API key without leaving the dashboard to get one.
The Starmap API: star maps, on demand
The Starmap API is the generator itself, available directly to your own code — one request in, an SVG or PNG star map out, ready for print or for screen. No renderer to build or host, no star catalogue to maintain; you send a place, a date, and a time, and get back the map.

How you’ll pay: two straightforward models
We’re keeping pricing simple, and deliberately not listing numbers here — they’ll be on the site itself when this ships. What we can tell you now is the shape of it:
- One-time purchase — pay once for a finished map, no account and no recurring charge. This is how One map already works today.
- Monthly subscription — a recurring plan with a monthly credit pool that covers both Studio and API usage, sized for how often you’re actually making maps.
One map isn’t going anywhere
If all you want is a single, beautiful star map — no account, no subscription — that stays exactly as it is. One map is still the fastest way to get one map: pick a place and a moment, customize it, and buy it once. Studio and the API are additions for people who want more than one, not a replacement for the option that got us here.
